About

I’m Al Tollefson

A Digital Production Professional Based in Minnesota

After serving in the Air Force, I launched my career in advertising and marketing in 1989. Over the past 36 years, I’ve worn many creative hats: Art Director, Graphic Designer, print production specialist, and magazine publisher. My experience includes designing keylines and pre-press materials for organizations such as The Ruffed Grouse Society and Trout Unlimited, which has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on both print and digital media.

For more than 30 years, I’ve specialized as a Senior Web Developer, building and managing websites that help businesses and organizations connect with their audiences. From 1999 to 2005, I ran my own business, designing and managing websites, as well as creating online and print marketing materials for a diverse range of clients.

I’ve also spent nearly two decades managing two computer business websites, and for 11 years, I maintained Trafera’s customer-facing platforms, including their Repair Portals, Trafera PD, and TRAILS. My time with Trafera wrapped up in January 2025 due to a company-wide reduction-in-force.

Now, I’m back to working for myself, and loving it. I thrive on the flexibility of working from anywhere with an internet connection, and I enjoy the direct, personal relationships I build with my clients. Since it’s just me, you can count on quick responses and a hands-on approach to every project.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss a project you’re working on, feel free to email me.
